Abel Williams
Cheayan is the current UNEP Tunza Youth Representative for Liberia. He was appointed by the youth of Africa at the 4th African Youth Conference on
Environmental and Sustainable Development, TUNZAFRIKA 2013 held in Lome, Togo
September 24-27, 2013. Abel was the only Liberian youth who attended the UNEP
Tunzaafrica Conference, and he was the only youth who attended the Tunza
conference and was able to unitize the UNEP mandate to adequately spread the UNEP
Tunza awareness in Liberia.
Ever since, Abel has been involved with active youth activities in Liberia. He is President of the Natural Resources Research Initiative (NRRI
Liberia). NRRI Liberia has been leading Liberian youth involvement into policy
and decisions making within Extractive Sector of Liberia. Also
is also a Co-founder and Chief Executive Founder of Guardian Care since
2008 the organization has been provided small aid to Orphan, widows and war
affected children within in the republic of Liberia.
Abel is also a war affected Liberia who was adopted into an Australian christian family. Abel has made life become successful for himself this his education and his wiliness to explore new idea. Abel studied Economics of Climate-Resilient Development with the World Bank Institute for Development. Currently, Abel is studying Petroleum Engineering at the St- Clement University College here in Monrovia. He also has advance diploma in Public Speaking and Research Papers Writing.
